Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial and housekeeping management, with a focus on ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of facility maintenance, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Oversee custodial staff and housekeeping management to ensure high standards of cleanliness across the facility.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols for various environments including industrial cleaning and hotel settings.
- Coordinate floor care activities, including cleaning, waxing, and buffing to maintain the appearance of flooring surfaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with external vendors for specialized cleaning services as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Train and supervise staff on best practices in custodial services and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field, with a focus on custodial or housekeeping management.
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning processes, floor care techniques, and hospitality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to facility maintenance.
