Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers and vendors with their inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. A successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain an organized and clean sales floor
- Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction and open display cases.
- Address customer and vendor inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Utilize basic math skills to handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members to maintain a collaborative work environment.
- Clean and price products as needed and manage inventory.
- Manage social media accounts and photograph items and vendor booths.
- Train vendors how to use our systems and inventory items.
- Other responsibilities and duties as needed.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Must be reliable and dependable with great time management.
- Experience with retail math to manage transactions accurately.
- Ability to sell products effectively with vendor priced items and promotions.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and team members effectively.
Work hours will be within 10:30-6:30 as needed on Wednesday and Thursday and likely Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday when needed.
