Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Liaison
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Liaison to serve as the primary point of contact for access to USC academic medical centers and USC Health Sciences Campus. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience working in a call center or customer service environment, and knowledge of healthcare procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for access to USC academic medical centers and USC Health Sciences Campus
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming and outgoing telephone calls, electronic messages, and other web-based communications using a call management system
- Respond to basic inquiries and refer other inquiries to appropriate medical personnel
- Contact and distribute messages to medical personnel using various electronic methods
- Schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments, register patients, and verify insurance coverage
- Perform data entry, ensure data integrity, and reconcile as needed
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience working in a call center, customer service, and/or healthcare department/environment
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or operations field preferred
- Vocational certificates in healthcare, such as appoint scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and medical assisting, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and various health insurance types preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of high-level computer literacy with practice management scheduling systems preferred
- Bilingual: Spanish, Chinese, and other languages preferred
Certifications and Training
- FIRE/Life Safety Training (LA City)
