Overview
Keegin Harrison is seeking an associate attorney to join our estate planning team. This is a part-time position with room for growth to full-time in the future. We are a collegial firm located in a dog-friendly office in downtown San Rafael. This position offers flexibility for working in the office or on a hybrid remote schedule for local SF Bay Area candidates.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a strong foundation in estate planning, trust administration, and probate. A sense of humor, good listening skills, and compassion for others is paramount.
Requirements
- ABA accredited law school graduate.
- Member in good standing of the California Bar.
- 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
- Familiarity with the California Probate Code.
- Experience with estate planning software such as Wealth Docs.
- Experience with Adobe Pro.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
- A strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
- Strong communication skills and polish when interacting with partners and support staff is a must.
- Curiosity about our practice and desire to expand your knowledge on an ongoing basis.
- Located in the SF Bay Area (hybrid preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using tools to support estate planning cases.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including wills and trusts, estate plans, and probate documents.
- Maintain organized records and manage case files.
