Supervises, trains, promotes, disciplines, and coordinates activities of newly hired production workers
engaged in expediting flow of material, parts and assemblies within or between departments of plant.
- Responsible for the qualification checklist training, safety training of the machinery, the production of quality parts while training, and has evaluation approval/termination on the new hire’s 90-day probationary period evaluation.
- Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes including full.
- Trains all cutting personnel to utilize the machines to their maximum capability while creating quality in spec parts.
- Performs job safely. Ensures personal safety and the safety of subordinates; understands how machines work and how to operate them safely; knowledge of emergency stops; and personal protective equipment in each work area.
- Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Conducts initial new hire reviews to determine the success of the initial probationary period for steel processing employees.
- Promotes teamwork within departments.
- Ensures that employees have all the required tools they need to do their job correctly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and determine corrective action for machinery when necessary.
- Ensures all documentation is completed accurately and is turned in on time.
- Provides direction and assistance in ISO9001 related activities.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the department.
- All other duties assigned.
- Strong leadership skills.
- A deep understanding of financial analysis and accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
- A proven track record of developing financial models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications, such as IFS.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of steel processing experience.
- Requires a minimum of 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Must be able to be certified for forklift and crane operations and maintain this certification annually.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with outside sources in written and verbal formats.
- Must be proficient in related production systems.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably.
