We are looking to hire a Sr. Estimator for our Building Group at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. This position plays a pivotal role in assessing project costs, analyzing blueprints, and collaborating with teams to prepare accurate construction bids. Their expertise ensures the company's profitability and successful project execution. A senior estimator is required to lead estimates while also taking on some of the day to day estimate responsibilities for specific projects.

A senior estimator is required to lead estimates while also taking on some of the day to day estimate responsibilities for specific projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for and participate in estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.
- Oversee bids before submission.
- Handle new customer opportunities within the estimating team. This consists of estimating and some delegation to the designated estimating team.
- Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, and assembling final estimates for owners.
- Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
- Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade.
- Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Exceed expectations with excellent customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
- Maintain Company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years' in the construction, engineering, design-build, or related industries performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
- Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
- Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite including excel and estimating database software
- Advanced knowledge of construction takeoff programs
- Advanced knowledge of bid solicitation software
- Systematic planner who attends to details with accuracy and focus
- Team oriented
