We are looking to hire an E&I Coordinator for a 12-18 month project with our Industrial Manufacturing Group in Destrehan, LA.
Primary Responsibilities :
Coordinate E&I work schedules to align with overall project timelines.
Plan the sequence of E&I installations and testing activities.
Manage E&I teams and subcontractors, ensuring they understand and follow project specifications.
Coordinate E&I tasks with other disciplines (e.g., civil, mechanical) to prevent workflow conflicts.
Oversee the installation of electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls.
Ensure all installations are performed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Supervise the commissioning process to verify functionality and system performance.
Conduct regular inspections of E&I installations, checking for quality and compliance with project specifications.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures to protect the workforce.
Provide technical expertise to resolve issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems.
Maintain records of all E&I work, including installation, inspection, and testing activities.
Prepare reports to update project managers and other stakeholders on progress, challenges, and status.
Ensure all E&I work adheres to industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation roles within the construction or industrial sectors, with experience in coordinating and supervising E&I activities.
Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including wiring, controls, sensors, and automation.
Skills in scheduling, coordinating, and managing work with multiple teams.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
