Director of Portfolio Revenue Management
A dynamic and growing hospitality company seeks a highly analytical and strategic Director of Portfolio Revenue Management to optimize revenue and profitability across its portfolio of hotels. This key leadership role will be based in our Home Office in Charleston, SC, and may require travel to new or existing properties.
About the Role:
The Director of Portfolio Revenue Management will be responsible for developing and implementing revenue strategies that maximize total hotel profit opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, creating effective sales funnels, penetrating new markets, and building strong relationships with ownership to influence strategic execution.
Responsibilities:
- Drive total hotel profit optimization through data-driven decision-making, considering current and anticipated market conditions.
- Lead strategic planning and collaborate with hotel teams to identify opportunities to increase profit across all revenue streams (rooms, restaurants, spas, etc.).
- Conduct weekly strategy meetings for assigned properties, analyzing trends, sales tactics, and results to maximize RevPAR.
- Support sales teams with group and business transient pricing, conducting displacement analysis as needed.
- Effectively communicate a compelling profit optimization vision to property leaders.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of revenue reports, including financial statements.
- Leverage revenue management technologies, tools, and training programs to optimize hotel profits.
- Create accurate short-term and long-term forecasts across all profit streams.
- Lead top-line projections during the annual budget process.
- Maximize room revenue through effective channel management and inventory/rate optimization.
- Develop pricing, promotion, and availability strategies aligned with demand and target profitable customer segments.
- Monitor market and competitive indicators to inform profit generation strategies.
- Direct and manage channel distribution strategies, including OTA relationships.
- Optimize upsell programs across all booking channels.
- Serve as system "owner" for RMS, PMS, CRS, rate shopping systems, and other relevant platforms.
- Oversee content management across electronic channels.
- Motivate, lead, coach, and manage revenue management team members.
- Uphold company core values.
- Lead, train, and develop revenue managers and analysts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hotel revenue management experience, including 3 years as a revenue manager in a multi-unit or resort environment.
- Proven experience with total hotel profit optimization.
- Willingness to relocate to Charleston, SC.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, or hospitality management preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of RMS, PMS, CRS, channel management tools, extranets, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
