Keen Search & Staffing is looking for a skilled business Litigation Paralegal to become part of our client’s team. This position is contract to hire, 100% onsite.
Compensation: $32 - 34 per hour, with additional benefits available after 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a litigation caseload
- Prepare and file documents
- Provide customer service to clients and opposing counsel
- Proofread litigation documents, including complaints, discovery, motions, and affidavits
- Handle administrative tasks such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Enter data and file documents
- Generate reports and forecast case progress
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a paralegal within corporate litigation
- Must pass a background check
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with legal terminology and legal writing
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with legal research tools like LexisNexis
- Attention to detail and capability to work independently
- Flexible and self-motivated
- Must be able to work full-time in the Houston (77002) office
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
