1. Personnel
- Lead, mentor, and train Business Development and Marketing personnel to enhance performance and align efforts with company goals.
- Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the Business Development and Marketing Department and develop department goals, objectives, and systems.
2. Sales/Business Development
- Oversee and drive the sales process by effectively leveraging the expertise of estimating and operations teams.
- Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop competitive proposals and bids.
- Support regional needs, strategies, and relationships with Owners, Contractors, Architects and others by frequent regional check-ins.
- Establish and achieve sales and lead development goals to maintain a robust pipeline of projects.
- Track sales performance, analyze results, and adjust strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Ensure all business development activities are consistent with KHS&S’s core values and operational standards.
- Oversee the presentation of seminars to select audiences on Company capabilities, industry trends and other topics of interest.
- Establish standards and processes for presentation of pre-qualification statements to new and existing customers.
3. Strategic Growth and Market Expansion
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans aligned with KHS&S’s vision and long-term objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and assess emerging trends in specialty contracting and construction.
- Drive diversification efforts by targeting niche markets and high-growth sectors that align with KHS&S’s expertise.
- Represent KHS&S at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Position KHS&S as a thought leader by contributing to industry discussions and staying informed of cutting-edge developments.
4. Marketing
- Partner with marketing to promote KHS&S’s core ideology, expertise, and innovative solutions.
- Review market research on new opportunities, geographical, product, customer base or other.
- Ensure inclusion of West Coast perspective in the development of brochures and other materials.
- Partner with marketing to oversee the Company website and Company public relations efforts.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Business Development database of past, current, and prospective clients.
5. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, and key stakeholders to foster repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Act as the face of KHS&S for prospective and existing clients, ensuring alignment with their needs and expectations.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Other Duties
- Maintain a strong understanding of KHS&S’s portfolio, capabilities, and value propositions.
- Monitor department budget performance, actual vs. budget and take action as appropriate.
- Attend seminars/educational training programs as required.
- Perform any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified duty that may be needed from time to time.
