POSITION SUMMARY :
Provides direction for the program and classroom and implements program curriculum. Provides
a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values : honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. While creating a positive environment that promotes youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures with advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests. While exemplifying the Y's commitment to DEI and the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility and responds to all member and community inquiries in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.
- Designs and implements daily lesson / activity plans.
- Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities.
- Conducts parent conferences and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Engages parents and volunteers using a DEI lens.
- Maintains program site and equipment.
- Maintains required program records.
- Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training (18 hours per year)
