What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Out-of-District Coordinator/Court Liaison- SAU 29 position at Keene School District?
The coordinator is instrumental in providing feedback to students, parents/guardians, and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals as well as communicating with state and area agencies. This position requires that a high level of confidentiality be maintained in all settings. Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the OOD Coordinator/Court Liaison will have responsibility for ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations related to students (grades PK-age 22) in OOD placements and providing information regarding the educational needs of students to DCYF, court, and NHED Staff.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in General Special Education; Master's Degree and advanced endorsement preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Must hold or be eligible to hold NH Special Education Teacher Certification. Must have a valid driver's license.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience with special education case management, development and oversight of the implementation of IEPs, and conducting IEP meetings.
