The Athletic Department at Keene State College is seeking applications for an Athletic Trainer to provide athletics healthcare services for all varsity level student-athletes, in close cooperation with Head Athletic Trainer, Athletic Training Staff, Team Physicians and Health Services, assist in the overall service component to Athletics that includes: Prevention, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis, Immediate Care Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning, Organization & Administration and Professional Responsibility. This is an 85%-time benefited position, full-time during the appointment dates from early August to early June each year.
Working under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer the successful candidate will join a highly skilled team of professionals to assist in the overall service component to Athletics that includes: prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation & reconditioning, organization & administration, and professional responsibility. All staff positions on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities.
Athletic Health Care
As an allied health professional, the position requires providing all aspects of student athlete health care focused on evidenced based medicine to include but not limited to the following:

Athletic Health Care
As an allied health professional, the position requires providing all aspects of student athlete health care focused on evidenced based medicine to include but not limited to the following:
- Prevention and Health Promotion (injury, illness)
- Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis
- Immediate Care, Acute emergent care
- Therapeutic Intervention to include Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning
- Organization & Administration to include daily EMR
- Professional responsibility to include maintaining licensure and certification and being current on athlete health care.
These duties would be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and could include:
- Inventory
- CPR instructor for athletic staff
- Online student athletic medical records system super user (Sportsware), etc.
- Entry level Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field and two years of experience as a certified athletic trainer
- BOCATC Certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of NH
- Post Professional Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field
- Experience in collegiate athletic medicine
- CPR Instructor
