Under the supervision of the Director of Advancement Services, this position will take the lead on the stewardship of gift funds. Gift funds are created as a result of charitable donations, and are often restricted to specific purposes. The fund stewardship assistant works with USNH and Keene State College Finance to create new gift funds, and track spending of existing gift funds to ensure donor intent is honored. The fund stewardship assistant also plays a crucial role in the administration of the Keene Endowment Association, which manages a $20 million portfolio of funds dedicated to student financial aid and other programs at Keene State College. Lastly, the fund stewardship assistant is cross-trained to enter new gifts in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, which is the CRM for the Advancement and Alumni Office.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Documentation of fund creation
- Stewardship of funds with students, donors, campus partners; the Keene Endowment Association
- Account reconciliations
- Generating reports including but not limited to annual fund revenue and income distribution reports.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Business/accounting/bookkeeping experience equal to three years
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, community friends and work effectively as a team member.
- Demonstrated proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software applications
- Experience with establishing and maintaining automated processes within a relational database; aptitude for learning new business/accounting procedures and technology
- Familiarity with relational database file structures
- Prior experience working with Workday, Blackbaud Raisers Edge,
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite,
- work experience in a college/university environment,
- experience in a fundraising setting and with fundraising database,
- proven written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills,
- experience involving decision making that may include judgment and discretion.
