What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Relations Planner position at Keeneland Association Inc?

The Community Relations team {comprised of Community Relations, Tours, Library} serves as a connector between Keeneland and the community as it relates to charitable giving, community partnerships, fan development, community outreach and education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Kids Club
- Oversee programming and touch points with the Keeneland Kids Club to grow our fan base with families in our community and surrounding counties.
- Plan and execute annual Kids Club Events onsite and in the community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with organizations and community partners.
- Oversee Kids Club communications throughout the year, including writing copy and developing content for monthly newsletters.
- Serves as a liaison for the Kids Club email by monitoring all incoming emails from kidsclub@keeneland.com.
- Responsible for Keeneland Kids Club mascot bookings and staffing.
- Develop educational programming, such as Fifth Grade Field Trips, to grow the fan base and highlight career opportunities within the industry.
Race Meet
- Oversee promotional days; planning logistics of the days, including resources needed from various departments, through the execution of the events to ensure smooth patron flow.
- Coordination of various activities during the live meet, including the National Anthem and presentation of colors for each race day, live music on specific weekends, etc.
- Identify areas of opportunity related to the patron experience and strategize with various departments to develop solutions that enhance the experience.
Collegiate Opportunities
- Implement and execute the annual curriculum and programming for Collegiate Opportunities.
- Support in the candidate selection and hiring process for College Ambassadors and serve as primary liaison with students.
- Serve as the direct report of the Community Relations Intern managing the intern’s schedule, project responsibilities and overall performance.
Educational Experiences
- Support in creating educational experiences and programming for groups throughout the year both on and off site including but not limited to 5th grade field trips, speakers & presentations, community groups, etc.
Run Walks
- Manage Run Walks at Keeneland including bookings, contracts, and execution of events.
- Serve as Keeneland liaison to coordinate logistics for each event and communicate needs to internal teams.
Other
- Assist with the Promotions (653003) and Community Relations (653001) Budget.
- Support Community Relations Department as a whole helping create fan experiences while on the grounds.
- Collaborate with Special Events department on Track Kitchen meeting room group reservations.
