SUMMARY
Candidate will skillfully prepare a variety of hot or cold menu items accordance with Menus and Chef instructions. Cooks may be assigned duty in Concession, Banquet, A La Carte, or Event Catering operations. Placement and compensation are based on related experience and skill level.
QUALIFICATIONS
One to five years food service /culinary experience. Candidates with stadium- casual-fine dining- hotel- banquet- private club or catering experience may apply. Candidates with culinary management experience and or a culinary degree may apply for Chef/Supervisor positions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following. Other duties may be assigned):
- Work under the direction of Chef or Supervisor
- Daily set up, maintenance, and breakdown of work area /station
- Become familiar with work area, kitchen equipment, and utensils applicable to position
- Display ability to follow job specific instruction with attention to detail
- Skillful and consistent preparation, portion control and presentation of menu items
- Maintain professional disposition and work as member of cohesive team
- Display ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Keep Work areas/ stations clean and organized
- Embrace Keeneland Hospitality culture that strives to exceed guest expectations
- Adhere to Keeneland Hospitality Uniform, and Grooming Standards
- Ensure Heath Code, sanitation and food safety standards are maintained
LANGUAGE SKILLS
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fayette County Food Handlers License and a Kentucky Horse Racing Authority License is required for all track workers.
