What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Associate position at Keeneland Association Inc?
Directs, facilitates movement, and controls restricted and general parking during Race Meetings, Sales Auctions, and additional Special Events on Keeneland Grounds. Provides parking direction to our patrons during racing, sales and general events. Assists patrons with mobility restrictions in moving from the parking areas to the admissions gates and provides general information to our patrons attending events. Does not have authority to carry a firearm.
The Parking Associate roles encompasses many tasks during Race Meetings, Sales Auctions, Special Events, and additional activities throughout each calendar year to include, but not limited to, the following:
- Parking Facilitation
- Traffic Control & Direction
- Valet Traffic Control
- Horse Crossing Guard Assignment
- Golf Cart Operator (to & from designated handicap parking areas)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate with others. This position may require the employee to be on their feet in various environments for extended periods.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess Kentucky Drivers License, and be able to attain a Kentucky Horse Racing License, (Keeneland shall provide). Golf cart operators are required, per Keeneland policy, to possess a valid Kentucky Drivers License.
