Recycling Associate

The Recycling Associate is responsible for sorting through various types of materials and separating them into separate categories for recycling. This position requires an individual with a keen eye for detail. The Sorter must be able to recognize different types of materials and be able to sort them quickly and accurately. In addition, the Sorter must be able to work independently and adhere to safety guidelines. This is a physical job that may require the use of tools such as carts, gaylords, and other devices. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a good physical condition.

Duties

• Load bagged materials from grandstand area onto vehicle and transport to the recycling center for unloading 
• Sort recyclable materials based on type, color, and other characteristics
• Prepare recyclables for transport
• Maintain cleanliness of recycling area
• Evening position- 5p-TBD

Recycling Sorter Skills

• Ability to sort recyclable items
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Recycling Sorter Requirements

• Ability to accurately sort recyclable materials
• Ability to lift and move recycle materials
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle 
• Valid drivers license required with a clean MVR check.
• Must be 18 years of age or up
