What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Assistant Tooling position at Keeney Holding?
For more than 100 years, the Oatey family of brands has included some of the most recognized names in residential and commercial plumbing products. We are seeking a dedicated Technical Assistant for Tooling at our manufacturing facility in Winchester, NH. In this entry level role, you will serve and assist the plastic tooling technician and press operators to support safe, accurate and timely preventive maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting of plastic injection tooling. We’ll also rely on you to maintain accurate data in spare parts inventory for plastics tooling.
Responsibilities:
· Perform and assist with preventive maintenance activities on injection molds
· Clean and prepare molds
· Learn to change out inserts and date codes per schedule
· Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of tooling area
· Work closely with toolmaker or other assigned expert to learn how to execute repairs
· Set up and put away outgoing and incoming mold kits for changeovers
· Maintain inventory of molds
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 6-12 months of experience in a plastic injection molding or machining operation
· Basic understanding of injection mold press operation
· Forklift operator certification or able to earn forklift certification within 3 months
· Ability to take initiative in the problem-solving process
· Demonstrated ability to be flexible and supportive to meet changing work demands
· Knowledge of MS Office required; working knowledge of Excel preferred
· Mechanical aptitude and previous experience working with tools and machinery
