About us:
KEER GLASS FOUNDRY is a glass fabrication firm serving artists, architects, designers, and other industry professionals. We’ve branded ourselves as a partner who can be relied on to deliver the absolute highest level of artisanry—providing innovative solutions in the service of creating our clients' ideas in glass.
Requirements: We utilize many materials and technologies from the simplest hand tools to the latest 3D manufacturing. We don’t expect candidates to be proficient in all areas, but certainly some.
· Experience in some areas of fabrication methodologies such as welding, CNC operations, laser printing, woodworking, assorted mold making techniques, metal fabrication, glass fabrication, etc.
· The ideal applicant will have strong hand skills in various materials and processes that they can apply to glass.
· An ability to follow drawings and other instructions, work accurately within tolerances and problem solve. (This is a MUST!)
· Ideally 3 years of prior experience in the field or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Working independently with tools and machinery for a wide variety of fabrication processes.
· Brainstorming and designing innovative solutions to problems that are typical to the normal shop workflow.
· Collaborating with the Founder and Operations Manager to implement and fabricate project plans, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
· Maintaining a clean, efficient workspace and keeping track of materials, tools, and supply needs.
You are the right fit for our team if:
· You are a thinker, innovator, maker, creator, and doer. You love the process of making as much as the objects you make.
· You are open-minded, you embrace change, and you love to get things done.
· You are interested in finding solutions but understand that there may be multiple paths to reaching the final destination. And where others see problems, you see opportunity to develop solutions. You love an environment that optimizes possibility.
· You are all about the spirit of collaboration–you love the process of exchanging ideas, brainstorming, and being part of a team.
· You take immense pride in your work; you never want to stop learning. You’re highly organized, diligent, meticulous, and want to be part of a community that embraces your attention to detail.
· If you have the requisite skills and experience, we want to hear from you!
