Job-Specific Expectations Title Clerk Role
Desk Duties
1. Break down deals and send NC title work to DMV or process on CVR.
2. Process out of state title work by preparing needed forms, titles, cutting checks and follow up until title is completed.
3. Reassign all titles received. (for vehicles stocked into inventory)
4. Process and post CVR bundles every day.
5. Send out processed registrations and plates.
7. Apply for in state or out of state duplicates.
Communication and Coordination duties
1. Answer customer and bank calls and letters concerning registration and titles.
2. Contact banks and auctions for lien releases and titles.
3. Contact runners to make a weekly run to SC DMV.
4. Coordinate the resolution of title issues such as missing signatures, POA corrections, and mileage issues.
Wholesales
1. Post, prepare titles, and collect money for all wholesale deals.
2. Verify zero balance on each vehicle when complete.
Purchases
1. Stock in all purchases.
2. Prepare and send payoff checks on all purchases.
3. Collect and call on titles.
Schedules
1. Keep title schedule current.
2. Keep wholesale schedule current.
