Sr. Special Security Representative/Team Lead - Contingent on Contract Award

We are seeking a Sr. Special Security Representative (SSR)/Team Lead to support the United States Space Force at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, Colorado.

NOTE: This is not a remote/telework job.  This job requires the selected applicant to have an active U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire and, therefore, requires U.S. citizenship. 

Job Description

The Sr. SSR/Team Lead will be involved in all aspects of a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program and will partner with program/site leads as well as government staff and mission partners to maintain an effective SCI program. These positions provide SCI security management for military, civilian, and contractor personnel, manage foreign mission partner access, and provide sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) accreditation support. The team lead will also manage both contract personnel and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all facets of an SCI program including physical, personnel, information or industrial security
• Implement necessary standards, such as Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) SCIF accreditation standards and TEMPEST requirements
• Provide security office services, ensuring personnel assigned to SCI billets meet and maintain all security clearance requirements
• Assist in the following programs/procedures: Periodic Reinvestigation Program and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and the Access Control System (ACS)
• Assist in managing personnel, visitors, and visit requests in databases used by the Intelligence Community (IC) to record eligibility and access to SCI and other caveated programs, such as Defense Intelligence Information System (DISS), Scattered Castles and Air Force Space Command (SCIBS)
• Maintain SCIF accreditations to include geographically separated SCIFs
• Supervise contractor personnel, organize resources, and administer controls necessary to ensure that all delivered services and products meet all requirements. 
  
  

 Basic Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in SSR roles supporting SCI programs in classified DoD environments
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of DoD, Air Force, and IC SCI security directives, instructions, and standards
• Experience managing personnel and leading teams
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Space-Based Infrared System (SIBRS) mission and related security classification guides
• Experience obtaining and maintaining Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) SCIF accreditations
• Experience with foreign mission partner access procedures and foreign disclosure decisions
• Experience with high-level government distinguished visitor visits and tours
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills to coordinate with program/site leads as well as government staff and mission partners
• Experience working on/with Government contracts
• Detail-oriented team leader who can consistently meet deadlines and is able to work independently as needed
• Able to multi-task and work with a diverse work group of vendors, executive managers, subcontractors, consultants, and other professionals
  
  

Education-Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of management related SCI experience
  
  

Or

• Associate’s degree in a related field and 5 years of SSR experience
  
  

Or

• No degree and 10 years of SSR experience
  
  

Other

• Must pass a drug test
• U.S. citizenship required
• Must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim) U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire
