Job Summary:
The Fulfillment Lead is responsible for assisting the supervisor of the fulfillment team, overseeing daily tasks, and ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations. This role ensures that inventory is managed accurately, orders are processed correctly, and shipments are completed on time. The role is a working lead and will require 50% or more time allocation for pick/pack/stock activities to support operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily warehouse operations: Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatching of goods.
- Order fulfillment: Ensure that picking, packing, and shipping processes meet accuracy and timeliness standards.
- Staff management: Lead, train, and assign tasks to warehouse associates. Provide input to performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Inventory management: Oversee cycle counts process, and report discrepancies.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve operational issues, including bottlenecks in the workflow.
- Quality control: Ensure that goods are properly handled, stocked, maintained and packed to prevent damage.
- Equipment management: Ensure that all warehouse equipment (e.g., computers, printer, tape machines etc) is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Safety compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including equipment use, hazard management, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED (some positions may require post-secondary education).
- 2-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures, including inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software like Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 40 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.
