The Retail Store Key Holder is a crucial member of our team, responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and customer satisfaction of the store during their shifts. This position requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to manage store operations independently. The Key Holder will support the Retail Sales Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor in executing all tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. While the shifts required will vary, weekend avilabillity is a requirement. (Schedule may need to be altered when covering for other team members.)
Responsibilities to include the following:
- Assume managerial responsibilities for the store during assigned shifts (and in the event of management absentee), ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support that aligns with KEH’s Values.
- Manage requests from customers to view items
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always
- Troubleshoot customer issues
- Assist in resolving employee issues and disputes
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store
- Assist is ensuring proper store coverage and delegation of task
- Coach, encourage, correct, and check in with team members
- Assist in training new employees
- Assist the supervisors in planning and implementing strategy
- Assume managerial responsibilities on Saturdays and Sundays when needed
- Assist in maintaining store performance
- Maintain proper inventory in store
- Assist in purchasing gear for customer when needed
- Respond to written communications in a timely manner
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Customer focused attitude with a desire to provide great service
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle pressure, stay calm, de-escalate, and respond to challenging inquiries
- At least 1 year working in Sales/Retail supervision preferred
- Photography experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
