The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the management to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
- Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Expertise in accrual accounting
- Knowledge of tax laws and financial reporting
- Creating and analyzing financial statements
- Managing general ledger accounts
- Performing account reconciliations
- Preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
- Meeting deadlines for financial reporting and tax filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or mid-sized business environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with month-end closings.
- Proficiency in accounting and advanced level of MS Excel; experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify patterns
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
