Location: The Kehillah School
The Events & Alumni Coordinator is a dynamic role that supports the school’s mission by overseeing and coordinating events across multiple departments and leading the development of Kehillah’s alumni network. This individual will manage logistics for key events supporting admissions, development, communications, parent engagement, and community-building while also establishing, nurturing, and expanding connections within the alumni community.

Key ResponsibilitiesSchool-Wide Event CoordinationDevelop and launch a structured alumni program from the ground up, cultivating deeper, long-lasting connections with former students and their families.
Collaborate with department leads and leadership team to ensure a wide variety of events align with institutional goals and enhance school visibility.
Oversee logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, scheduling, catering, and on-site execution to ensure smooth operations.
Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning while maintaining high-quality experiences that reflect the school’s values and goals.
Recruit and coordinate volunteers, including parents and students, to provide event support and ensure smooth execution.
Establish and grow an impactful alumni program that strengthens connections with former students and their families, driving engagement and support for the school.
Plan and execute alumni-focused events, reunions, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives to foster alumni engagement and support for the school.
Partner with admissions and advancement teams to integrate alumni into enrollment strategies and fundraising efforts.
Establish and lead an Alumni Council to nurture meaningful relationships, encourage alumni participation and promote involvement in school initiatives, events, and fundraising campaigns.
Create a centralized alumni database that includes both former students and alumni parents.
Marketing & Communications Support
Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to promote events and alumni initiatives.
Assist in the creation of event-related materials, including invitations, email campaigns, social media content, and post-event reports.
Capture key event moments through photos, videos, and testimonials to promote alumni engagement and showcase school activities for marketing purposes and archival use.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, project management, or alumni relations, preferably in education or nonprofits.
Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing budgets and vendor negotiations.
Proficiency in event management tools and digital communication platforms.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
A strong sense of humor to build rapport and create an engaging alumni experience.
The ability to work well under pressure and effectively manage tight deadlines.
High emotional intelligence (EQ) to navigate relationships and foster meaningful connections.
Strong executive function (EF) skills to stay organized, plan strategically, and drive initiatives forward.
