Position Overview: The Driver/Event Installer is responsible for driving company vehicles to and from events, transporting staff, making deliveries, and loading/unloading event décor. They follow safety guidelines, ensure proper vehicle maintenance, and assist with event installations, including setting up and striking décor. The position reports to various event logistics and production managers.
Responsibilities:
- Transport staff, clients, and vendors on time
- Load/unload vehicles securely, following safety protocols
- Comply with transportation regulations and complete driving logs
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and performance
- Load/unload and install event décor, furniture, and lighting
- Minimize damage during installation and ensure venues are left clean
- Return items to storage after events
- Train and certify forklift operators
- Promote safety and mentor team members
- Handle payroll and HR tasks
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly and 50-100 lbs with assistance
- Comfortable with bending, reaching, and working on ladders
- Ability to tolerate different weather conditions and work environments (cold, heat, noise)
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 with a valid Illinois driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- 2-4 years driving experience, 1 year of event set-up preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle safety and Illinois driving rules
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work long shifts, weekends, and travel
- Must provide own tools
- Ability to work well with others in a team.

Pay & Benefits | What You’ll Receive
- Hourly wage: $22.00 to $24.00, based on experience.
- Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws.
