Ideal candidates:
- Have experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Are enthusiastic, nurturing, and committed to fostering a developmentally appropriate, culturally rich environment.
- Are passionate about Hawaiian culture, language, and family engagement.
- Enjoy singing, dancing, playing, reading, and nurturing young children.
- Love learning about early childhood development.
- Are friendly, flexible team players with a growth mindset and can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement hands-on, culturally-based curriculum to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Use creative techniques like storytelling and educational play to support children’s social skills and self-esteem.
- Organize lesson plans, monitor child progress, and communicate with parents.
- Provide a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment.
- Observe and document children’s behavior and development.
- Collaborate with educators and caregivers to create a supportive learning environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and adult participants.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma (HS diploma) required.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Knowledge of Hawaiian language and culture is a plus.
- Flexible and adaptable temperament; able to respond to changing needs.
- Dependable, responsible, and committed to making a positive impact.
Salary & Benefits
