We are currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing a team of people. This individual will create shift schedules, delegate tasks, manage staff, and monitor the results of daily activities. This position is also responsible for ordering supplies, controlling stock, and reporting breakdown failures of any equipment.
A successful candidate will have related manufacturing experience, experience providing direct supervision, and be a diligent, determined performer who thinks outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our products.
Because environmental and organizational conditions change rapidly, the work involves innovation and creativity in generating ideas for quick response. Decision-making is focused on implementing practical, timely solutions. The job requires getting things done quickly and handling a variety of activities.

Requirements
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in assigned production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, sales forecast, and production ramp planning
- Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function
- Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
- Perform verification of production output according to specifications
- Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior managers
- Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies
- Interact with peer groups and gain the cooperation of others by conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules
- Train new employees on how to use machinery and follow procedures safely
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
COMPETENCIES
- Experience providing direct supervision to skilled, nonexempt employees
- Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
- Expertise in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Proven experience in executing improvement projects with LEAN Manufacturing concepts

EDUCATION
- 2 years' experience working in a supervisory role
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; an additional degree in engineering or other relevant areas is a plus
COMPENSATION
- Exempt position; Salary range: $66,560 - $85,000 annually
- Final compensation will be determined and based on experience
- This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law

Salary : $66,560 - $85,000
