5-Color Printing Press Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 5 Color Press Operator to join our printing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining a 5-color printing press, ensuring the production of high-quality prints in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in producing vibrant printed materials while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain a 5-color printing press (Heidelberg)
• Ensure the press is running efficiently and effectively by troubleshooting any issues during production.
• Monitor ink levels, color consistency, and print quality throughout production.
• Adjust settings on the press as needed to achieve the desired print quality.
• Inspect printed materials for defects or inconsistencies and take corrective actions as required.
• Work closely with the production team to meet tight deadlines and customer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press to maintain optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate production records, including job setups, materials used, and any machine malfunctions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a 5-color press operator or a similar role in the printing industry.
• Strong knowledge of printing presses and print production processes.
• Familiarity with color theory, registration, and quality control standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic machine maintenance.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent (a technical certification in printing is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific 5-color presses ( Heidelberg, Komori, etc.).
• Knowledge of digital and offset printing techniques.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced commercial printing environment.
