Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual or semi-automatic welding machines.
- Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using welding equipment.
- Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances.
- Understand proper quality weld standards, including slag removal.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- welding experience preferred.
- Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, square, and blueprints.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
- Lift 25 lbs. repetitively.
- Production facility exposed to continual machine noise.
