The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing our organization's visibility, reputation, and public engagement. This role focuses on creating effective communication strategies to promote the service-driven mission, goals, and services of the District to diverse audiences through social media, press releases, newsletters, and public events. Duties
- Lead the development and execution of community engagement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Manage non-response volunteers, including recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to ensure effective participation.
- Oversee fundraising initiatives to support community programs and projects.
- Prepare and deliver messages, presentations, and educational content to various stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze data to assess the impact of community programs and inform future strategies.
- Develop educational programs that raise awareness about our mission and services within the community.
- Collaborate with local organizations, stakeholders, and government agencies to strengthen partnerships.
- Plan, coordinate, and host community and public education events.
- Design and manage templates for informational and educational content.
- Manage the District's social media platforms. Utilize digital marketing and social media expertise to expand the District's online presence, promoting community engagement and enhancing public education.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- associate degree (bachelor's degree in related field preferred)
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Successfully complete a background check.
- Proficient in social media platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis to evaluate program success.
- Experience in program development with a focus on community engagement.
- Ability to educate diverse audiences about our mission and services effectively.
- Background in education, public relations, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.

Pay: $58,159.00 - $82,500.00 per year
