What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales/Solutions Engineer position at Kelaca?
Kelaca is looking for a Product Sales / Solutions Engineer for our client partner in Raleigh,
NC / Boise, ID to join our North American team to market and sell our industry leading CRM &
business solutions to North American based banks and Credit Unions.
What you’ll do :
Sales Engineering requires a unique combination of product knowledge, communication and
sales skills. As a functional element within the Sales team, a Product Sales Engineer supports
sales efforts with The Company product expertise (which of course you will gain through their
rigorous training program).
You will prepare and deliver product presentations, give demos of The Company software, draft
delightful and thorough responses to RFP’s (Requests For Proposal), and engage with
prospective customers to educate and enlighten them about the value of becoming a Company
customer. Your strength in the sales process is that combination of technical acumen and ability
to forge and nurture strong relationships within our target accounts.
Who you are :
- Scope of the role will include;
Deliver demos and discuss products / technology in the early stages of the sales cycle where
there is either no current opportunity or the opportunity is not yet qualified
Build credibility and relationships with technical stakeholders in target accounts
Support the Sales team through ad hoc requests for product knowledge or “solution-eering”
Research and explore existing technical challenges with prospective & current customers and
creatively find solutions to those challenges that our products can solve
Partner with sales, customers success and marketing to act as a technical product consultant
and to take open deals over the finish line
Own and Manage the response to incoming RFP requests by working with cross functional
teams to complete the detailed process.
Facilitate demonstrations of the technical aspects of our product in ongoing deals
Enable recently closed customers with the specific technical resources that will lead them to
success with the Company
When required, travel for in-person visits to understand prospective clients' business
challenges and goals
Aggregate and communicate technical roadblocks for customers and prospect deals to our
Product Team
Collaborate with their delivery and product organization to represent the sales view in
product / roadmap decision
Skills and Experience to really own and be happy in their team :
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience
You have a minimum of 2 years in a majority customer-facing role
Have a proven track record in executing well over a 100 sales pitches / demo’s for platform
and / or enterprise level solutions
You excel at making complex concepts simple
You thrive in establishing relationships with technical stakeholders
You are comfortable working in a named account universe where relationships matter
You are not afraid to challenge your team members and behave slightly rebellious towards
prospects. We don’t just deliver products; our solutions often change a financial institution
by moving to cloud, to Agile, etc).
You enjoy and are flexible to switch between tasks throughout the day. Participating in an
ad-hoc call or inbound info request are some examples.
You have experience working in or around the Financial Services industry
You have excellent sales acumen, including :
o Confident and energetic presentation style
o Mastery of PowerPoint - inclusive of a drive to improve your decks
o The ability to “own the room” and keep the conversation on track
o Solid sales and meeting mechanics
You have an entrepreneurial spirit that enables you to face new challenges with confidence,
take ownership of responsibilities, and innovate as a regular part of your day
Digital is part of your DNA and you don’t mind “evangelizing” Digital to Bankers that
initially may not see or understand the value digital brings
You are open to traveling up to 50% (on a yearly average)
You have a relentless thirst for knowledge and self-improvement and spend down hours
honing your craft and expanding your product knowledge
You enjoy bringing different departments together, working with Customer Success,
Professional Services and Center of Excellent to create the best possible buying experience
