What are the responsibilities and job description for the VDC Manager - MEP - Remote position at Kelar Pacific, LLC?
Position Summary:
The VDC Manager plays a crucial role in driving innovation and efficiency in BIM/VDC processes for MEP projects. In this role, you will lead small internal and consultant teams, overseeing the MEP projects with a hands-on approach. Your technical expertise and leadership will ensure that projects are delivered with precision and high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable to change, and dedicated to continuously improving BIM/VDC methodologies and team collaboration.
Your primary responsibilities are but are not limited to:
Project Management :
- Work in partnership with the VP to organize project operations to increase efficiencies and accountability.
- Work in partnership with the VP of Project Services and the sales team on Customer Presentations
- Support the project team with your contribution to BIM Coordination, 3D Revit Detailing, and AutoCAD deliverables.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and material, labor, and equipment requirements for The project cost estimate and Proposals
- Prepare, document, and execute BIM Project Execution Plans
- Act as Project Manager on assigned projects, manage Kelar Pacific’s project members & outside consultants on the project, log your hours in tracking systems, and monitor KPI and team’s Production to meet profitability targets.
- Work with VP & office staff on project information required for invoicing customers
Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership & mentoring for all project teams across all disciplines in the Project Department.
- Provide technical training to the Kelar Pacific team and outside teams that are partners with Kelar Pacific to improve communication, efficiencies, accountability, and project operations.
- Identify technology best practices that will bring value to projects and develop tools and workflows as needed.
- Research new technologies and learn how to deliver them to add value to the Kelar project department.
- Document lessons learned for all design and construction technology strategies deployed on projects.
- Participate in company meetings.
- Participate in the hiring & recruitment process of Technical Staff at Kelar Pacific and provide your input and recommendations.
