Come work at an exciting downtown Minneapolis location where the pace is fast and no two days are alike. We are seeking a warehouse lead for our concessions stands and portable food outlets.

For those with warehouse, food & beverage experience that have full availability, we are looking for you. We are a (7) seven day a week operation so there is some flexibility in the schedule. If you have a history of strong leadership, communication skills and have pallet jack and forklift experience, the starting pay is $17.45 per hour. This lead position is eligible for the greater number of hours, along with a 401K, paid time off, meals and uniforms.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., navigate a pallet jack, walk, bend, lift, reach and twist; you will be moving product from our dock, storage and kitchen areas to all food outlets.
• Move, setup and strike portable cafeteria pieces.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: RETAIL WAREHOUSE LEAD

REPORTS TO: Director of Retail Operations & Specialty Café Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Warehouse Lead works in the direction of the Manager of Retail Operations, or Assistant Manager. This individual will specialize in the set up and operation of all portable cafés, portable concessions, permanent concessions, and specialty outlets. They will assist in the maintaining of concession stands, and outlets as described and vending machines. The responsibility of distributing all necessary products and supplies needed for the efficient operation of all concession stands, outlets and vending machines. They are responsible for equipment set up and tear down, returning equipment to appropriate storage areas. A person in this position will assist in maintenance of Department of Health regulations along with HACCP sanitation techniques and cleaning duties.

This individual will have the ability to coordinate a food outlet, or concession stand as directed by management. Responsible for preparing quality food items and courteously serving these items to the public in exchange for cash. This individual may assist with cash handling. They may coordinate assigned staff to best handle business.

Must be able to work with limited supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary. May interact and take direction from other Kelber Management Staff. Must maintain a pleasant and professional manner when dealing with Kelber, Convention Center staff, clients, and guests.

PAY AND UNION STATUS: Hourly, Union Member

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must be able to independently set up or break down all equipment associated with food outlets, or concession stands.
2. Cleaning and stocking of outlets and concession stands.
3. Stocking of vending machines.

1. Safely pulling and returning equipment to designated areas.
2. Open and close Retail outlets and concession stands efficiently.
3. Maintaining all equipment required for operation in a well operating, sanitary, and safe condition.
4. Assist in the maintenance of the HACCP Program.
5. Efficiently wait on customers.
6. Courteously communicate with customers and coworkers.
7. Prepare quality food and drink items for sale.
8. Properly ring items on the cash register and take cash from the customers staying within our cash handling limits ( 1%).
9. Maintain a clean and safe work area during and at the end of each shift. Direct staff in proper cleaning procedures.
10. Accurately handle cash banks and cash drop bags.
11. Other duties as assigned.
12. Demand a professional level of service, attitude, and attire from your staff. Including but not limited to uniforms, personal hygiene, and customer service.

PREREQUISITES:

Availability: Fully available: as outlined in the union contract.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 years Retail experience; progressively increased responsibility

Physical: Refer to the attached Functional Capacities Evaluation for this position.
