Description
Essential functions
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Visually inspects and provides regular and emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
Ability to dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Install new parts and reassemble.
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors/ other maintenance to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
Run errands to purchase parts as needed for machine maintenance
Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Department Manager.
