We are looking for a full-time, friendly and professional IT Support Specialist with exceptional customer service and communication skills that works well with diverse personalities. Job Summary:
The IT Support Specialist provides information technology support to employees throughout our different office locations. They utilize technology to address business needs and assist staff in achieving efficient and effective use of computing technology.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist employees to maximize the utilization of computer resources
- Provide timely, efficient, and consistent customer service
- Participate in the development and refinement of company-wide IT initiatives, infrastructure processes, and procedures
- Diagnose and correct system hardware, software, and operator issues
- Troubleshoot IT problems
- Provide support for software applications, including installation and updates
- Provide hardware support, including printers and print drivers
- Assist with the inventory management of desktops, laptops, printers, and other miscellaneous personal hardware (e.g., docking stations, external hard drives)
- Assist with the inventory management of software assets
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge in support of personal computers, networks, servers, systems operations and maintenance, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 16/19/22, and Microsoft 365 applications
- Willing to partner, train and mentor Junior IT team members
- Dedicated customer service including excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective decision-making skills and the ability to collaborate
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of Bentley Software, Autodesk Software, Esri GIS Platform, and other Civil Engineering related applications a plus
- Travel on occasion, lift 50 lbs., and talk on the phone routinely to engage remote support
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in computer science/MIS-related area or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of similar experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of the civil engineering industry is a plus
