Keller Estate, located in the beautiful landscape of Petaluma, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Tasting Room Manager. Position Details:
• Location: Petaluma, CA 94954
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday (occasional Sundays will be required)
• Expected Hours: Full-time, Exempt employment
Responsibilities:
• Assist management in day-to-day operations including all opening and closing of the tasting room.
• Oversee the daily flow of the tasting room and maintain the integrity of guest spaces and collateral.
• Manages and facilitates leading concierge service for tasting room guests and wine club members, providing the highest level of guest experience.
• Share knowledge about California wine regions, emphasizing wines relevant to Keller Estate.
• Effectively provide guided tours and tastings, following SOPs relating to hospitality, company story, and wine education.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere to new guests and returning members.
• Operate Register/POS systems efficiently including capturing guest information and order processing.
• Up to date TIPS Certification.
• Support outreach efforts to attract new visitors and wine enthusiasts.
• General management duties including conducting inventory counts, tracking supplies, order fulfillment and auxiliary administrative tasks.
• Spanish speaking is not required but appreciated.
Requirements:
• Leadership Experience: 2 or more years in a winery or restaurant leadership or management role.
• Sales Skills: Demonstrate ability to drive sales and promote wine club signups.
• Proficiency with PO systems and Microsoft applications.
• Ability to excite and lead staff to meet and exceed financial goals.
• Genuine enthusiasm for the wine industry and a client-centered environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Maintain an open schedule to be available to work on weekends, holidays, and occasionally rotating Sundays.
Compensation:
• Competitive pay scale: $65,000 (based on level of experience, skills and abilities)
