Field Service Technician (F&B Industry/ Sterilization equipment)

Our client is a well-established, family-owned business specializing in UV sterilization technology for the food and beverage industry. With a growing customer base of over 180 clients, including major manufacturers like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Ocean Spray, and Niagara, they are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their expanding team.

• Travel to customer sites (1-3 weeks per month) throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Florida to perform maintenance and service on UV sterilization equipment
• Shadow and learn from a highly experienced technician for approximately the first year
• Replace UV lamps, glass board sleeves, and service ballasts, lamp sockets, HEPA filters, and pre-filters
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on sterilization equipment
• Build air sterilizers when not traveling
• Complete service reports and administrative tasks in a timely manner
• Identify potential equipment sales opportunities (10% commission offered)
• Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicle

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude - ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with clean record (no DUIs or drug-related issues)
• Not colorblind (safety requirement for electrical work)
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• Customer service skills and professional demeanor
• Willingness to travel 1-3 weeks per month

• Experience in the food and beverage industry
• Background in UV sterilization systems
• HVAC experience (beneficial for understanding filtration, pressure, and electrical/mechanical systems)
• Sales aptitude
