With a global presence and multiple overseas subsidiaries and affiliates, our client is seeking a seasoned finance and accounting leader to drive financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations while overseeing consolidated reporting across their international entities.
Role OverviewOur client seeks an experienced Director of Finance & Accounting with a strong background in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. This role will be primarily accounting-driven, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will also oversee financial planning at a high level, ensuring sound financial health and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Compliance (Primary Focus)- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage consolidated financial reporting for multiple overseas subsidiaries and affiliates.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and other applicable financial regulations.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, risk management, and audit processes.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Supervise accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Oversee intercompany accounting, eliminations, and currency translations.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Optimize accounting systems and financial reporting tools to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee tax filings, tax planning, and compliance for domestic and international entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and statutory filings.
- Work closely with tax advisors to optimize global tax structures.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Oversee debt financing and foreign exchange exposure.
- Ensure efficient cash repatriation and fund movements across subsidiaries.
- Provide oversight on budgeting and forecasting, working closely with FP&A staff.
- Support financial modeling and cost analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and structured in thinking, ensuring accuracy and precision in financial reporting and compliance.
- Both assertive and open-minded—confident in expertise but humble about knowledge gaps, engaging critically with different perspectives to drive the best financial outcomes.

- Excellence in structuring financial processes and reporting frameworks in dynamic and rapidly growing organizations.
- Logical and proactive thinking, balancing strategic financial planning with the operational rigor needed to ensure a high-performance accounting function.
- CPA certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years managing a team.
- Strong experience with consolidated reporting and international accounting standards.
- Proven track record of managing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax, treasury, and cash management principles.
- Familiarity with latest accounting systems and next-generation financial reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy.
