Job Overview:The Human Resource Practitioner will be entrusted with the important responsibility of managing the daily functions of the Human Resource department. This role encompasses a range of critical tasks including recruiting top talent, hiring the best candidates, facilitating a smooth onboarding process, administering payroll efficiently, managing employee benefits, and ensuring that all operations adhere to company policies and compliance with employment regulations. Key Responsibilities:- Lead the complete recruitment process, encompassing job postings, application reviews, interviews, and collaborating with stakeholders to make informed hiring decisions.
- Craft and refine onboarding programs for new hires, while championing initiatives that recognize and celebrate employee contributions.
- Supervise payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring precision and adherence to state tax regulations.
- Handle wage garnishments and uphold compliance with all legal stipulations.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims, maintaining thorough documentation and offering support to employees.
- Manage employee benefits, leave policies, and compensation strategies, prioritizing employee welfare.
- Respond to employment-related questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors to nurture a positive workplace culture.
- Engage in disciplinary discussions and investigations, ensuring fairness and meticulous documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws to foster a legally sound work environment.
- Keep abreast of HR trends and employment law to uphold competitive and compliant HR practices.
- Monitor training requirements for professional growth and regulatory adherence.
- Take on additional HR responsibilities as assigned to boost departmental effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on HR management experience.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is essential.
- Expertise in full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Experience in payroll administration and state tax setup.
- Ability to handle wage garnishments with legal compliance.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with HR technology and applicant tracking systems is a plus.
- Certification in SHRM-CP
- Experience in managing workers' compensation claims
- Experience in a comprehensive HR role
Salary range is between $70,000 and $75,000, based on experience.
