Sales Specialist - Industrial Components

A leading global manufacturer of mechanical seals and industrial components is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their growing Houston operations. With manufacturing facilities across multiple continents and a strong presence in various industrial sectors, the company is positioned among the top 10 global manufacturers in their field.

Position Overview

The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in expanding the company's presence in the U.S. market, including a focus on the Gulf Coast region. Based in Houston, this role reports directly to the VP USA with a dotted line to the Global Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals
  • Manage and grow relationships with key OEM accounts in sectors including Oil & Gas, Industrial Processing, Automotive, and Semiconductor industries
  • Work closely with the existing distributor network to maximize sales opportunities and market coverage
  • Generate new business opportunities through direct sales efforts and distributor channel development
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing facilities to ensure optimal product delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities, pipeline development, and market intelligence
  • Support senior leadership in high-level customer engagements and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and sales support materials
  • Travel twice per month throughout the United States to support customer relationships and business development
  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Background in mechanical seals or related industrial components
  • Experience in both direct sales and distributor channel management
  • Knowledge of Gulf Coast industrial market
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 10 years of progressive sales experience in industrial equipment, preferably in mechanical seals, pumps, or compressor industries
  • Proven track record of successful sales in long-cycle, technical B2B environments
  • Established network within relevant industries, particularly in Oil & Gas and Industrial Processing sectors
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex mechanical systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
Compensation
  • Competitive package range between $70,000 - $120,000
  • Incentive program based on KPI attainment
  • Benefits package including healthcare and 401(k)
