Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a remote legal team of five professionals
- Oversee all franchise-related legal matters including FDD preparation and compliance
- Review and manage commercial contracts for retail operations
- Coordinate with outside counsel when specialized expertise is needed
- Develop and implement legal department strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Provide strategic legal counsel to executive leadership
- Manage legal risk across all business operations
- Hybrid position with occasional travel to Charlotte and Rock Hill office required
- Juris Doctor degree and active bar license
- Significant experience in franchise law and operations
- Strong background in commercial contracts and general corporate law
- Proven leadership experience managing legal professionals
- Experience working with private equity-owned companies
- Strong executive presence and communication skills
- Ability to balance technical legal requirements with practical business solutions
- Competitive salary range of $150,000 to $175,000
