What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Sprinkler System Designer - Intermediate Level position at Keller Fire & Safety, Inc.?
Job Summary:
An Intermediate Level Fire Sprinkler System Designer will be required to produce construction drawings from M.E.P. or Design Build specifications by implementing the applicable design requirements per NFPA standards with the aid of a Senior Level designer.
The candidate will also produce and submit submittal packages to the AHJ/Owner for approval, communicate job requirements to the job site Project Manager, assist Sales in the take-off of new projects, and produce equipment orders for the projects they design with the aid of a Senior Level designer.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Reviews and validates information required to create drawings according to specifications and Standard Procedures.
2. Utilizes CAD system for drawing responsibilities.
3. Provides copies of drawings to the installation and sales teams.
4. Maintains data sheets needed for submittal packages.
5. Produce stock listing for project materials.
6. Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.
7. Assist with the design of Fire Suppression Systems if needed per workload requirements.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Minimum 1 year experience with AutoSPRINK.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Optional:
· AutoCAD experience.
· Possess and maintain a NICET certification with Sprinkler systems.
· Knowledge of fire alarm system design.
· Knowledge of PDF editing.
