SUMMARY:
The position serves as the technology support lead responsible for the strategic implementation of new technology solutions directly related to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The individual will work closely with the CTE Department and the Technology Department to identify and provide support for all technology systems within the CTE programs, with a special focus on innovative technologies. The position requires proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues, thus maximizing the benefit of IT systems. This role reports directly to the Director of Technology Systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Technical Support
- Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service to all end-users, including the entire CTE Department, ensuring non-disruption in a time-sensitive learning environment.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns efficiently and effectively through active listening and problem-solving skills.
- Championing the support and integration of new and innovative technologies across all CTE programs, enhancing overall productivity and learning experiences.
- Offer expert application and technical support for all CTE technology platforms, ensuring seamless operation and user satisfaction.
- Deliver robust support for all hardware associated with CTE programs, maintaining optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Technology and CTE staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user problems promptly and efficiently.
- Coordinate the strategic deployment of all CTE technology hardware and software, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
- Maintain technical documentation on all CTE hardware/systems.
- Deploy, update, configure and troubleshoot end-point devices including mobile devices, hardware, software, applications and mobile apps in a Microsoft and Apple environment.
- Troubleshoot and remediate incidents and requests effectively in the field for the entire CTE Program.
- Complete tasks for incidents, requests and problem resolution following appropriate processes
- Provide basic end-user technical training on CTE related software/systems.
- Document all service tickets, activities and resolutions with accurate, consistent and clear information.

- Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.
- Pursue Professional Development activities for self; ensure that Professional Development activities are aligned with District goals and initiatives and current professional research.
- Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
- Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A , Net or operating system certification (required)
- Microsoft and Apple system certification (preferred)
- Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience, or equivalent combination of advanced IT certifications and job-related experience.
Experience
- Two (2) years successful experience supporting users’ technology or servicing
endpoint devices and software
- Experience in K-12 CTE education organization (preferred)

- Knowledge of troubleshooting issues with Apple and Windows client platforms
- Knowledge in supporting users with Apple devices and iOS configurations

- Ability to support users utilizing remote service and support tools
- Knowledge of self-help strategies
