Line Lead

We are now hiring for a Line Lead to join the team at our Covington location! Located at 4101 Winston Avenue, Covington, KY 41015.

Pay: $18.25 / hour. WE PAY WEEKLY

Hours: Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Job Overview: This person is responsible for the proper setup and operation of repackaging activities at a line. Additional responsibilities include the supervision of personnel assigned to their line, and responsible for the execution of repackaging metrics set forth by the Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up line for operationsIncludes checking for hygienic operation, setting up machine and printer settings if necessary, and verifying proper setup.

• Complete tests for competency in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of machines.
• Set line members at line positions that will maximize production efficiency and morale.Involves rotation line positions periodically.

• Monitor repackaging production and ensure scheduled production is completed.
• Determine the disposition of the damaged product, isolate it, and either move it to the Damage area of the warehouse or destroy it at the end of the shift.
• Ensure line area is cleaned and ready for the start of the next shift at the end of the shift, and notate on Line Lead Report as a daily inspection of hygienic operation.
• Complete all Line Lead reports as required by Packaging Supervisor.
• Follow 5S Protocols.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lead personnel on the line by giving direction and feedback on performance, as well as recognize production issues and correct them.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor issues on the line or machine to ensure proper operation, or escalate issues to Maintenance.
• Ability to supervise and motivate team members to meet production schedules.
• Ability to take job orders from Supervisor.
• Ability to get along well with others in the organization.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Ability to recognize and respond to unsafe working conditions.
