Freight Broker

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers. Your expertise in negotiation and transportation planning will be crucial in ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, supply chain management, and a passion for the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure efficient freight movement.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with carriers to secure competitive rates.
• Coordinate transportation logistics, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Utilize inside sales techniques to generate new business opportunities within the transportation sector.
• Analyze market trends to identify potential growth areas in freight services.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize supply chain management processes.

Experience

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation sales, contract negotiation, and carrier sales.
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and carriers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Proficient in using logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and managing customer relationships.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
