What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bankruptcy Post-Confirmation Associate position at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP?
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is looking for a highly motivated 3rd to 7th-year associate to join the Bankruptcy & Restructuring department’s expanding post-confirmation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a long-term opportunity to serve an impactful role on a growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong organization and management skills to be able to handle multiple representations at the same time, a foundation in representing post-confirmation trustees, plan administrators and/or unsecured creditors and creditors’ committees in complex chapter 11 cases, experience in claims reconciliation, familiarity with plan and post-confirmation trust documents, and experience working with debtor and committee professionals to transition cases to post-confirmation administration.
Candidates must have top academic credentials, strong analytical skills, excellent client relationship abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
Additional requirements are:
- Negotiate plans, trust agreements and plan administrator agreements.
- Manage day-to-day activities of trusts, including oversight of trust professionals’ workstreams, liquidation of assets and claims reconciliation process.
- Oversee and participate in trust litigation.
- Maintain internal database to facilitate creditor communications and distributions.
- Review, analyze and sign off on case pleadings, including claims stipulations and claims objections.
- Facilitate trust wind down process.
Although we work seamlessly across offices, this position is specific to our Parsippany, NJ office. Bar admission is required in an attorney’s resident and/or affiliated office.

The salary range for this position applies specifically to candidates who will work or reside in New Jersey if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications (e.g., JD/technology). The annual salary range for New Jersey is $250,000 - $315,000.
