Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, a powerhouse firm with the heart of a boutique, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Analyst to assist in the implementation of business development and marketing strategies. The position is in Kelley Drye’s New York, NY office and reports to the Litigation Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities and requirements include the following:
Intelligence Gathering and Analysis
- Assist with research and analysis of clients, industries, markets, technologies, and competitors to support business development activities.
- Work with business development team to configure litigation alerts that help identify new business opportunities. Monitor alerts and scan the news to help vet potential opportunities.
- Work with the Marketing Technology Manager and Marketing and BD Managers to leverage data pulled from the firm’s CRM, website, email marketing system, and other technology tools in support of business development and communications initiatives.
Business Development
- Assist practice groups and BD Managers in executing group and individual business plans.
- Assist with the practices’ active development of new business pitches and proposals, including drafting content, assembling documents, and editing presentations.
- Develop visually effective PowerPoint presentations.
- Collaborate with other team members on cross-selling, events, communications, and other initiatives to drive new business.
Data Management and Reporting
- Assist in segmenting and analyzing clients, prospects, and competitors to provide insights for business development opportunities for the firm.
- Maintain experience lists in the firm’s CRM for inclusion in proposals for new business, surveys and submissions, and attorney bios. Assist in designing reports, and analyses to enable informed client and prospect research.
- Track activity and the results of business development proposals and initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues in support of event and thought leadership opportunities to drive business development.
- Become proficient in technology tools, including email marketing, CRM, and webinar platforms to support business development and marketing efforts.
- Support or manage special projects as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Two to three years of business development or marketing experience is preferred
- Excellent writing skills, proofreading ability, and overall attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in New York City if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications (e.g., JD/technology) for example. New York City Salary Range: Low: $80,000 High: $100,000.
