What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Worker/Forklift Operator position at Kelley Farm & Garden?
Our yard associates are responsible for loading customers with products that are not physically located inside the store, as well as loading/offloading freight. It is important that customers get loaded with the correct products, and have a great experience while they're being loaded. Loading carefully, without damage to customers vehicles, is of high priority. Flexibility in this job is appreciated, as some days will be busier than others with deliveries coming in and customer traffic. Operation of forklift, loader and other equipment is required.
Responsibilities Include:
*Unloading and loading trucks/freight
*Unloading and loading customers
*Matching packing slips to delivery for accuracy
*Yard/ground maintenance
*Cutting lumber/metal
Requirements:
*Ability to work outside in all types of weather
*Forklift and other equipment operation
*Friendly attitude
*Attendance & punctuality
*Open-minded and willing to learn
*Get along, and work with others
*Reliable availability on weekends and some holidays
*Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
